A (Beta Carotene)
Vitamin A has widely varied functions including supporting vision,
growth and development, and the immune system; building and maintaining
healthy skin, mucous membranes, organ linings, bones, and teeth;
protecting against certain cancers; and carrying out important metabolic
and hormonal roles.
- Vitamin A
is shown to reduce cancerous lesions of the mouth. The results
of the study were reported by the University of Arizona Cancer
Center. Vitamin A may also help people who develop oral or esophageal
cancer traced to an excess use of tobacco or alcohol.
